Description
This session provides a practical overview of new home warranty requirements and builder service obligations in British Columbia. Led by Brendan Bobby of Travelers Insurance, the discussion will walk participants through the 2-5-10 warranty framework, including how coverage is structured, how claims are managed, and the roles and responsibilities of builders throughout the warranty period.
Participants will gain insight into common warranty issues, best practices for managing homeowner expectations, and strategies to reduce risk and improve outcomes. The session will also explore how warranty providers assess claims, the importance of documentation and inspections, and what happens when deficiencies are not addressed.
This course is designed to support builders, developers, and industry professionals in strengthening their understanding of warranty compliance, service standards, and long-term asset performance.
